Review it: This is a rewrite of Vendetta starting where Chris and Hank part ways. It is chock full of Ezra-whump...it's an illness with me I think. The Nichols family is still looking for vengeance, and they've split their focus to include Ezra for sending them in the wrong direction. Ezra surrenders himself to save Nathan, and things go downhill from there. I enjoyed this story mostly for the depth of loyalty and connection it shows between the men. The self-sacrifices and the lengths they will go to in order to protect each other. It sets up a subtle comparison of the family of the Seven versus the Nichols family.

Review it: I normally don't go for the fics where some of the guys are kids, but I really enjoyed the blending of these two fandoms. I thought the author did a good job of getting the two worlds to work in tandem, and the roles as well as the dragon color choices fit perfectly. (The dragon names made me laugh!) I would love to see more stories in this universe.

Review it: This is the first story in a new AU for M7. It combines a post-apocalyptic world with the return of fantasy for an engaging story. The guys are Shadowrunners and they walk the fine line between the law-abiding and criminal worlds. They inhabit the criminal shadows, but hold to their own sense of right. In this story, they get hired by the Travis family when Billy is kidnapped. I've enjoyed all of the stories in this series thus far, and hope to see more.

Review it: You will end up seeing this author a lot when you see my recs for gen stuff. I love her work. This one is one of my favorite JD stories. JD can often be portrayed as spastic, childish, and naive, and it can be a bit much. This story shows him much more realistically to my mind. He's still young, not as mature as the others, but we see him using what he's been taught. We see him still uncertain, still the 'kid', but we get hints and glimmerings of the man he's becoming. If he keeps on in this vein, he's got the potential to take the best of what the others have to offer without becoming bitter, cold, and hard.

Review it: I enjoy getting the two points of view - Ezra's and Vin's - during the night before, day of, and immediate follow up to an ATF raid. Their view of each other and the rest of the team is handled quite well. It's an introspection on the wonderful, yet annoying "octopus" that is family.

Review it: Horror is not usually my thing, but this one caught my attention immediately, especially how it brought all of the guys together. It's an AU of sorts - the original seven are mentioned through various places, but the story is set in modern times. Ghosties, ghoulies, and things that go bump in the night.

Review it: It's an interesting AU that crosses over with "Without a Trace". A blend of fantasy with crime show, it has Martin Fitzgerald as the reincarnation of Vin Tanner. The 'curse' is explained up front in chapter 1, so its not really a spoiler. I found it an interesting take on combining the two worlds, rather than them being long lost brothers. Once Vin has his memory back, its time to find the rest of the boys.
